Do you have this in Fences3? if so, give it a whirl. Toggle again between the two settings. Per-Screen/Per-Monitor. But I have always found Per-Screen to be on point.

Lol, fair! But given what you said about the fences getting tossed around, that was the only thing I could think of. Which, tbh, makes since because when I reboot my computer, the small monitor gets a signal first, then the big one. ...At least I'm 90% positive thats what I'm seeing. I'll have to pay closer attention.

Yes, Fences3 and thats what I switched to. Like I said, the setup for 3 and 5's configuration/settings is different, but I was able to find it and switch to it based on the pictures you originally showed me. :)
I have a client coming in a few hours and will disappear eventually. I have to prepare, so if I vanish I apologize.
No problem! Thank you for your help thus far. If I have issues when I get back from work tomorrow afternoon, I'll jump over to the Fences forum and see if they can help. I may be S.O.L as its such an older version and am stuck until I can upgrade, but... we shall see! Thanks again

There is a way to slow the start, put a delay on a program in Windows on loading. I am not sure how to do it. I have seen it mentioned on the forum, I’ll try to find a way, if someone can’t jump in and tell you how. It could be an option.

Well.... this an interesting update. I turned my big monitor off and my small monitor was still on. It immediately jumped the signal to my small monitor. Turned my big one back on and....
So its the signal causing Fences to bork. BUT reverting to the screenshot fixed it fast so its back to where it should be. Which means I have to get in the habit of turning my small monitor off first, then my big one.
But I will see if I can figure out how to delay start Fences. Thats a good idea, might help! Thanks!

I tried that, couldnt get to the point of being able to save it as there were steps needed to be done that I wasnt sure how to do and they werent shown in the pic. Its ok though.
I just kept doing a restore from a backup to fix the issue until today. My cats disconnected my HDMI cable for my second (small) monitor and for some reason when I plugged it back in, Fences really borked. Everything went to the small monitor and scrambled. Restoring from a backup did nothing at all, just basically refreshed my monitors.
So I rearranged everything manually, saved a new backup. It was fine until I stepped away to grab a nap - when I jumped back on a few hours after the new backup, I made sure to turn on my main monitor first then my small one. Screen flashed and everything was back on my small monitor, all jumbled. Restoring from the backup made it worse, two of my Fences disappeared entirely. Lead to a 4 hour ordeal of system restores and banging my head on the keyboard. I am currently running the trial version of Fences 5. That was a pain at first until I discovered that Fences is reading my secondary monitor as monitor 1 and my main as monitor 2. Swapped everything through the Adjust Displays option under Layout and its been fine. As long as everything runs smoothly for the next month, I will probably just end up purchasing 5.
Thank you for all your help, ants. If anything changes or goes really weird, I'll update.
The new Fences5 (5.81) has a “Per Monitor” setup now, which means it is supposed to remember the actual monitors Fences lived.
This new option will be enabled by default for new installs ONLY. Anyone installing 5.53 (or later) over a prior version of Fences would need to enable it manually. The decision to not enable it for existing installations was not to disrupt anything a client has set.

It actually swapped it to Per Monitor on updating from 3 for me. [shrug] I dont understand why Fences is reading my monitors backwards, but as long as it stops moving everything around, I dont care.
