Halo.

I have a new Gigabyte nVidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super OC 6GB and I just noticed when taking a photo of PCI-e slots that the fans aren‘t running.
The computer isn’t in sleep mode but hasn’t been used for 3 hours.

Does anyone know if this is by design? Do they stop running if under a certain temp?

They won't spin as long as the passive cooling from the radiator can keep the card cool enough.

I have the Gigabyte GTX 1060 model and that is normal I believe. They only start when the temperature of the card rises. Mine has been like that for years :) The "FAN STOP" light is on mine indicating the fans are stopped. It is like that most of the time.

I’ve only noticed that when sleep mode kicks in (Obviously) I wasn’t aware of this either. Then again, I am not aware of quite a lot of things. Less that I am exceptionally good looking 🤣 😛 (Seriously though, I am exceptionally good looking)
