Hi,
Some of you probably opened to this thread wanting to help me after wong driver installation. Thanks for that, but that's not the case.

I WANT TO INSTALL WRONG DRIVER :)
It may sound stupid, but I have a reason.
Reason is I need some older games (FM15 for example) to think that there is mouse connected, so I can use my tablet as tablet - without dock/keyboard or any dongle for wireless mouse...

So what I want to do is install mouse driver as drivers for one of the onboard devices. My choice is back camera, dunno why it exist in tablet with Windows, but it's there, It's on when tablet is on, so it could substitute 24/7 connected mouse, right?

Right. However how to do it I cannot find anywhere... Is it possible at all?

I am all listening, but I do not think it possible to do that on your Tablet.

The internal Device Enumeration mechanism will not recognise the Compatible ID for the device (back camera) as the correct one for the INF file (mouse device driver file).

A more sensible approach would be to use a wired mouse on the USB port, and let Plug and Play choose the correct wired mouse driver.

I hope that helps.

Does your tablet have Bluetooth? Get a Bluetooth mouse.

I agree with iko that you will not be able to get another piece of hardware to masquerade as a mouse.

Sad. Thought that there may be the way to add IDs to the driver.

Bluetooth mouse may be a way, but have to think about it. Maybe I'll find broken one or a cheap one and use only module+batteries, so it won't be any problems with mouse movement.

1 This is merely an example - I use their other ones [currently not available] and find them reliable. Voxon Mini Bluetooth Mouse
2 A Bluetooth mouse connects directly to the Bluetooth receiver. It does not use a USB dongle of any kind, which is what I think you might have meant by "module".
3 If that game demands that you have a mouse when it starts, you might find that you can then turn the mouse off. But if it's written for a mouse, surely it will be better to use a mouse.

Best of luck,
Denis

Hi there
This sounds like a Pilot (and I do fly small private planes !!) saying I want to use cheaper contaminated fuel or 3rd party cheap untested cloned components rather than official ones in my plane !!. If you need older legacy drivers or hardware - run as a VM or don't upgrade !! -- IMO advising people to deliberately attempt to install "uninstallable stuff" is not a good idea.

Sorry for knuckle rap but that's my view and I'm sticking to it. By all means mess around with your system to get stuff to work but this for around 99.999% of people is NOT GOOD ADVICE,

Cheers

And that was ideal answer! Found that I have cheap one, it works, but seems there is no need for that. After connecting it once, tablet seems to believe there is mouse even after reboot, full power off+power on cycle and Bluetooth off. Dunno if it's not our if it's so stopped, but I don't mind, as have works.
Thank you for idea. Forgot about existence of Bluetooth mices as I use 2,4 ones with dongle ^^ Dunno even why I had this one, but good it was available :D

True. Since the beginning it was my idea. As stupid as it was I thought it would be best way that didnt need any dongle, which would need adapter, cos this device has only two USB Cs available when undocked.
