:-)Install Update KB5044380

The solution to the issue was provided through KB5044380 from the Windows Update Catalog. Make sure it’s installed:

  • Visit the Windows Update Catalog.
  • Download and install the KB5044380 update manually if it hasn’t been applied automaticall

:-) Or Reinstall the Taskbar Shell


  • Open PowerShellwith administrative privileges and run:
    powershell
    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Again what error precisely? If I Google "Your Start Menu isn't Working" I get a lot of reports about this problem dating back to 2017. So how is KB5044380 involved in this? This fix is for Windows 11 23H2 not Windows 10.

Actualmente, en la empresa para la que trabajo, se realizó una actualización a través de SCCM en todos los dispositivos con Windows 10 22H1 y Windows 11 22H2. Después de iniciarse, varios dispositivos experimentaron una falla con el menú Inicio, mostrando un error crítico al hacer clic, que no se resolvió restaurando o incluso volviendo a cambiar la versión. También se realizaron cambios para establecer el menú Inicio en el diseño clásico, pero esto no funcionó hasta que se aplicó el parche que mencioné, que finalmente resolvió el problema.
