Yeah, that was the most expensive system I did to date considering the board itself was $550. CPU was another $525. Add 5 SSDs (2 NVMe, 3 SATA) and the expensive RAM kit. GPU wasn't cheap either. But I was looking to build something high-end, so I went for it.

That said, that has nothing to do with my cabling and cleanliness as I've been that way from the first PC, I owned which was also custom built. Here's an earlier build from around 2011.

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD 5 board. Intel i7-950. AMD (Sapphire) 6950 GPU. Cooler is a Noctua NH-C12P-SE14. Housed in a Antec P182 case.

I have builds posted in seven, eight, and ten forums. Haven't done a new build since the Red Storm build (first build posted) in 2019.

It was also perfect for the case as it would have been a tight fit. BTW the board (Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Xtreme) is an EATX board meaning bigger than the standard ATX board. That also meant I had to modify the top of the case (per my post here) to fit the AIO and fans at top.

If you get an EATX board (typically high-performance boards = expensive), you'll need to make sure you case supports it, otherwise you'll have fitting issues. Support will be listed in the case's specs....

Cable management is a two edged sword. get it all perfect, and it looks great. Then find you need to move a component, or replace something and you cannot move it a fraction of an inch.. :)

I hear you. The first time I used it on my computer, I was worried about what would happen to the fans.... all that wind turning them so fast. But 5 years or so of using a leaf blower on 3 different computer systems and not one fatality! And talk about cleaning all those nooks and crannies... well like I said, nothing escapes my leaf blower!

I have OCD, so when I clean something, I do it correctly. I clean my PC every 4 months. . And I take EVERYTHING out of it, and clean it. I wipe it down with alcohol, and disinfectant spray (not on the components of course). . But when I do something, I do it correctly. . lol

Is that a corded or rechargable? I was looking at some yesterday because I am not paying AU$9.00 for a can of air every time. I don’t do rechargeable, I like power cords.
