Laptop custom sounds upon lid open/close

I have a HP Notebook - 15 -bs144wm that I am quite partial to. I have done some upgrades to it and have done some customizations to it. One thing that i have been trying to figure out is if it is possible to add a tone/sound when i open/close the lid. currently i have the PC set to only darken the screen. It never turns off unless i turn it off. Even on lid close. It also never goes to sleep. I have searched all over the net trying to find a solution for this and have not found anything yet. If someone could assist me with this i would be very thankful.

It's probably possible to personalise sounds when the computer does something, but if the setting is to do nothing (like when you close the lid) then I doubt whether a sound can be attached to a non-event that doesn't do anything to invoke the sound.

I have checked Event viewer records for lid close & open events but none seem to exist.
So I cannot see any means of your being able to attach a sound to them.
