When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. My problems with MB had one unexpected effect. They spotted a lot of disk controller errors on my main backup disk. I got it's replacement yesterday evening and now have all my backups copied over. It took just over 6 hours to copy 116K files 2.53TB of data. I used FreeFileSync to do the copy so I could ignore any errors (there were none). I've verified the most recent Images so they should be ok. I also noticed an awful lot ofv stuff going back to the Win 7 days that I will never need. I'll have to work out what to do with that. Didn't get to bed until 2:30 last night so had a lie in this morning. :-)

I know what you mean, I have some 7GB in my Downloads folder that I really should sort through and cull - but you never know when something might be useful....

You' just done a 'Bree'. 2:30am is not exceptional for me - especially on a Patch Tuesday :wink:

Hello Bree - The Internet being down is thankfully a rarity these days. The message on the helpline was that it wouldn't be fixed until 4.00 p.m. but it was back by the time I came home from the walk at around 12.00.

Well that's good. At least you had something to do while you waited.

I'm in Oxford now, using the hospital WiFi. I went to Eleven Forum only to find it was down! So were 7, 8 & 10 forums. John says they had a datacentre outage. I thought I was going to be bored for the next hour, but it's all back now.

When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.
