This morning I spent time in the garden. I'm pleased to report my newly sown lawn has started to germinate. That's 10 days after sowing, as it said on the box. Mind you, it's not a lush green lawn yet, I have to get down on my hands and knees to see any of the new grass :lmao:

I'm so glad we don't have coyotes over here. I may very occasionally see a fox, but they prefer to stay in the woods and fields - well away from human habitation. For the most part the apex predator in my garden is the domestic cat ;)

I'm well past any risk of frost here. So my other task in the garden this morning was to move my Calamondin orange tree outdoors so it can enjoy the sunshine. That's no trivial task. I grew this tree from a pip over 40 years ago, including the pot it is now taller than I am.

(Note to self: next year don't make the mistake of thoroughly watering it the day before trying to lift it.) :lmao:

I must admit, I was sceptical too. But 10-14 days germination was what it said on the box, and the first seeds have just done so, right on time. Another week or so and they all should have sprouted. :crossed

If I'd known then what I know now, I may not have sown that pip. :lmao:

It can take 15-20 years for a citrus tree to become mature enough to flower. Mine has been a bit inconsistent since it started to flower at 20 years old. Some years it may fail to flower at all, last year was one of them. I was prepared for the worse, but apparently it had been busy over winter. Somehow it had manage to set three fruit while sheltering indoors....

Well I did it now, I got my lawn tractor stuck in some mud, need to tow it out somehow. Got a 3 tow ropes connected to it, just waiting for one of my neighbors to come home so I can ask them for help.

Just a lawn mower tractor ...32" blades .....avg size. Went into a real wet area of my lawn and the rear wheels sunk in the wet mud.
My neighbor's son came home and lifted it right out of the mud ....very strong young man. :-)

Ok, a small lawn tractor I was thinking of a bigger tractor with a 6-foot mower.
