It is. I lived in the city from 1967 to 2008, at various addresses, and with three years of that period spent in China (at Lanzhou University and at the Beijing Linguistics Institute) and in Cambridge, Massachusetts (at MIT). In 2008, we bought a lovely home in the country, a few km north of KGTN, and we'll prolly be here until we aren't. We still have to go "into town" almost every day, because, well, our really nice neighbors out here are cows (not much noise, very friendly, and never ask to borrow things), so there's not much in the way of commerce out here.
