I posted this update yesterday on 10Forum:
Surgery went well, I've been making good progress in recovery. The biopsy said 'benign' so nothing else besides the nodule needed to be removed. On pain management meds now, feeling pretty drugged up, it took a lot of concentration type all this.
Note to self: do NOT try to give advice while under the influence...

Surgery went well, I've been making good progress in recovery. The biopsy said 'benign' so nothing else besides the nodule needed to be removed. On pain management meds now, feeling pretty drugged up, it took a lot of concentration type all this.

Thanks today's update is that all the 'plumbing' for the drains, drips, etc. should come out today,

...I've had my first good night's sleep, uninterrupted by the nurses with their routine 4-hourly blood pressure checks. I'm starting to feel human again, or as close an approximation as I've ever managed before ;)

First task was to review my discharge medication(s) and decide which I needed to continue. It was mostly painkillers (paracetamol, codeine) and a couple to counter possible side effects of the pain killers, like acid reflux or constipation.

Apparently this type of surgery can cause pain for some time after. I was asked daily to rate my pain on a scale of 1-10, they weren't expecting me to say below '0.5' on the day of the surgery, in fact they had to enter it as '1' on their charts :D Either I had an exceptionally skilled surgeon, the surgery was minimal, or I have super-human pain tolerance. Probably a bit of each, once removed there was a further biopsy, when that came back as benign there was no further surgery required so I got away with the minimum necessary. I also has a strong leaning towards high pain tolerance. The most I feel today is a slightly uncomfortable pulling where the stitches are, and then only noticeable when taking a deep breath - most of the time I'm unaware of it.

So that's a 'NO' to all the well-meaning pain killers I was discharged with. :D

When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

    My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro RTM and Insider Dev, Beta, and RP 24H2 as native boot vhdx.
