Morning all.. have a great day. On my agenda for today.. taking Violet to the vet and the getting a few things from the store.. Walmart has eliminated those plastic shopping bags it seems.. I have no idea what they plan to replace them with so I may have to go to either Kroger or Food City.

Good morning, Jeff! Sounds like you have a full day.

I'll be working, picking up meds more my wife, running by Lowes to sign an installation contract for the storm door I bought yesterday, getting my wife coffee, and hopefully napping somewhere in there!

Odd that Walmart isn't using plastic bags. That might be a trial store because the had them yesterday. Of course, I didn't go into the store - only did curbside service. Maybe people will have to take their own bags. Odd, though.

You as well.. the trip to the vet is going to be fast. Their a great vet and I like using them. I had no idea that this plan was in the works and the store said nothing about it before they removed the bags. Dumbest move of the century award winners. If they don't have replacements people will go elsewhere. OH.. what can they use?? PAPER! That worked like a charm and it biodegraded.

I lived in China teaching oral English for just under 3 years. Stores charged for bags. People took their own bags. Perhaps the store is wanting people to use their own recyclable bags. Or maybe they ran out of bags. I can't imagine they'd just eliminate bags out of the blue.

At least tell the customers about what's going on. 🤷‍♂️ I have two bags to bring and Erin has a few I can use but this is kind of stupid. But there's always Food City.

Yes, do tell the customer what's happening. We really only have Walmart in our town, so I'm kind of limited to that unless I want to drive 30 minutes to Publix versus 5 minutes to Walmart, and 5 minutes is when school's in. When I did go into Walmart pre-pandemic, I carried my own bags anyway. I can't stand throwing away bags unless they're full of trash. If you don't throw them away, though, those bags tend to add up!

I don't get it.. I have to go to my credit union shortly and drop off a few bucks in my account. I'll run past Walmart and see what's going on.

I'll go over to Erin's place about 9:15 and get her and Violet. The ride to the vet is about 15 minutes.
