We have a huge problem with deer here. They are hunted but the population keeps growing. One day we saw what I can only call a herd. Had to be twenty five in the group.


Not enough natural predators and the fields full of food.

I grew up with the .303 lee Enfield and the Bren, when I was in the cadets, when I went to Germany I took my Cert A as an armourer and we got got to shoot the gpmg, slr and what was at the time all the new stuff.

Everything in our woods is protected and they breed like wildfire, the good thing is certain times of the year we never see them

In the city people feed the coyotes and this makes them accustomed to people. Then we get attacks on small kids and pet dogs. Think it is illegal to feed them if you get caught. At least once a year a coyote is shot because it has no fear of people.

Can you imagine seeing a coyote jump over a fence, grab your small dog or cat and leave. Gruesome.

Bigger dogs like Sammy would not be bothered but we have dozens of these small dogs.

Well at least foxes aren't like that or I would think twice, but feeding them as we have done for the last ten years causes no problems they are always cautious and we keep them wild

I had a red fox in our back yard. Pretty sure he was after the rabbits. Soon as I came out he was gone. Looked kind of ratty. Never saw it again.

I have not seen any coyotes here ...ever. Only a few deer ...once in a while along with some wild turkeys.
