Good morning, everyone.

I'm not sure how my day started off: bad or fortunate.

I woke this morning to a text on my phone saying my Walmart pickup would be ready by 11AM. The problem is that I didn't order anything from Walmart to be picked up today. So, I check my Walmart account. Sure enough, there was $323.xx of merchandise getting ready for curbside pickup in St. Charles, Illinois. The problem is two two-fold. First, I live in South Georgia. Second, I didn't order anything. So, I cancelled the order. The charge has been credited already to my credit card. Fortunately, I was quick enough to do this and have multiple protocols in my account. I changed my password. Can't figure out how to remove my credit card information, though. Not sure there's a moral here. Maybe it's to guard your online accounts carefully to ensure this doesn't happen to you?

Anyway, back to my day!

Interesting, yet odd and a bit troubling.

I'm certainly glad you caught it, and changed your password.

I'm confident you know this, but you can always contact your Credit card, and ask to have the account number changed.

Keep an eye on it. ;)

Oh, I'm like an obsessive hawk with my credit card. I check it almost daily. I don't think they got my credit card number, they just got into my Walmart account. I'll be watching all my accounts like a hawk until this insane holiday season is over.

Although I've never had a Walmart account, I did once have an Amazon account. Which I decided to cancel.

But if memory serves me correctly, on the Amazon account dashboard, my full credit card number was listed.

Just to be safe, you might want to log into your Walmart dashboard, and make sure that your full account number is not shown. If so, then you could phone your card carrier, and request a number change.

Sorry, don't mean to spook you, but better safe, than sorry. ;)

Thanks, WXC. That was a good idea. I just checked. Only the last four digits are listed. It's also missing the CCV code, so it's useless information.

Good deal! You should be safe.

Amazon my be the same, now. But a couple years ago, When on the dashboard, the complete number was lsted. The CCV wasn't, but still, cause for concern, should there be a breach. Enough for me, that I cancelled the entire account. As a bonus, the junk Amazon email stopped also.

Anyway, enough. lol
