How I wish I had a TA! I teach three courses a semester with 25-30 students in each course. Since it's a master's program I teach, it's a ton of work. I don't give tests. Instead, I grade holistically. They also have discussions they have to complete. Each discussion generates around 100 or so posts every two weeks, and I read every post that is made. Our department is like any other university around - in a serious budget crisis. Or so they say! So, no TA for me!

That sucks.. I was a TA for two of my classes. One was for a COBOL course. The instituter was overwhelmed with the amount of students that needed help and I was so far ahead he had me help him out. Then I did test grading for my Economics teacher.. I help make up pop quizzes and I helped grade the final exams.

I also helped out a lot of coeds with their Intro to Computing class assignments.. they had to write programs in Basic on a DEC computer. Fun,, yes... did I get any dates? No.. but I had a girlfriend at the time.

That's fantastic you met her in one of your classes. I met my wife in high school. For probably a good reason, we didn't date them. (I was a wild child back then.) We lost touch for a long time. She connected with me on Facebook 17 or so years later. We talked at first. Then, she flew up to NY, where I was working on my PhD, to visit. We dated long distance for a long time and then got married. After, I moved back to South Georgia, where I'm originally from.

Very nice. I ended up back in the north east.. CT and I worked for The Travelers ins and GE. I also took a few Grad classes at UMass. I'm now in TN with my girlfriend Erin and my two cats.. Milo and Phoebe. Both are rescues and both are orange tabbies

I got Erin's done and mine is all done.. I just have to fold and put it up. I have a washer and dryer hookup and I do hers .. she has some neurological issues so my doing takes that load off of her.
