Sounds like the blades need sharpening or replacing.

Maybe you need new blades? But then, I'm sure you checked that. I got two more batteries for my new electric mower. It now cuts the entire lawn without having to recharge anything. Well, except the ditch bank. That's too steep.

I thinks those batteries sound great, I think I shall go that way when ours needs replacing as we only got about 12 square yards of grass at the front

You might have to lend some strength to loosen the bolt, especially if it's never been loosened. Once you change the blade it might mow like new.

No she never checks things like that, in fact I had forgot all about blades I must admit, I normally maintain things, especially computers
