I agree, I have started updating the test machine just the dev channel to do, and must make sure it doesn't start producing the 20 empty folders every time it boots up and then figure out how to update PowerShell to V7.5 if it isn't already

Yes. When 22000.51 was released to Insiders none of my PCs were supported devices. That was the final push I needed to (finally) upgrade my main machine. Up till then I was using an 11 year old Toshiba. Got my System One from Cash Converters, restored an image of the old machine's the W10 OS, along with all my installed software and files, then upgraded to 11.

I never intended to replace my one that ran Hyper-V VMs, but then this real 'not to be missed' bargain tempted me: "My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB ssd, Windows 11 Pro."

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

Yeah, the further from the main source, the more wire it has to pass through. The more wire, the more resistance and degradation of signal. Also, you have more people pulling on the signal the further from the main source. I also believe the latter makes a difference.

I've two lappys both on Ten which won't upgrade to 11. Two Windows VMs one RP build of 10 and the other a dev build of 11. I also have a couple of Linux VMs.
