Odd thing. I have been using Firefox for years. Starting like 2 days ago, which may be this update, Every time I start my PC firefox browser opens full screen to my homepage. I realized going through the settings in Firefox there is a setting to "Start Firefox when turning on PC" or something like that, it was checked. SO a simple UNcheck and problem solved. Just saying ive nover either noticed this setting before or it is now being auto checked ON during an update. Not sure either way just letting you know in case someone else gets the same thing happening.

For the last few updates, on restarting Firefox the home page has this prompt.....

I always click 'Not now' and never see it again (well, not until the next update) :wink:

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

    My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro RTM and Insider Dev, Beta, and RP 24H2 as native boot vhdx.

Chrome (or/& Chromium based) - needs devs to improve the browser - to make it faster. Firefox on the other hand - can be tweaked/improved by the actual users (about:config), especially since Firefox Devs keep sabotaging the Firefox project - for higher benchmarks in synthetic tests. They self-sabotage - cause a lot of people seem to care more about benchmark/synthetic results - than what they actually see with their own eyes (or what feels better to the human eye - compared to a benchmark tool).

For example: nglayout.initialpaint.delay & nglayout.initialpaint.delay_in_oopif - was changed to 5 ms!! o_O

What the actual F... Seriously, what human needs 0.005 of 1 second for a webpage to be drawn/displayed in the browser?! A setting which fails on so many systems, thus - actually looks worst to the human eye (the struggle is real/visible) ,yet... it wins some extra points in a synthetic test.

Changing/tweaking above setting to 100 (0.1 of 1 second) - actually improves the visual transaction (for the human eye) - as in - looks way smoother. Yet, compared/measured by a machine - might loose some synthetic points to Chrome - where its Devs have a habit of playing the same deceitful trick. And yes, the 5 year old childish line "They started it (Chrome did do it 1st)!" - applies perfectly here. But that's no excuse - since it's the users who end-up having a worst experience - cause of this childish game between immature devs.🤪

The release of Firefox has always been released on the FTP:/server before the update can be done by updating withing Firefox from day one. The Download is the same and will update your version of Firefox, use it or don't it is probably no different than Firefox 128 RC2.

They claimed to have it fixed in 127.0.2, but I still had the problem.

I dunno if it was a update or what but my Laptop (Win 10) , and desktop win10 and win 11 all had popup saying firefox already running please close...Have to reinstall firefox on all three so far...no popup for 24hr

That reminds me of the old bug from all the way back to Firefox 2! I regularly had that issue with Firefox 2x in the late-'00s.
(Firefox becomes zombified when you X-out) (I regularly had to force-terminate Firefox from Task Manager)

I'm not having that issue with Firefox 128, knock on wood.

I usually use Chrome or EDGE but yesterday tried using Firefox 128.0 and while it copies the image fine, pasting the image does not work. Anyone else has that problem?
