Lately I have been testing Google Chrome and Vivaldi.
As far as I have found from a deep search in the Internet, CSS UI mods are possible in Vivaldi (but not as deep as in Firefox), but not in Google Chrome.
In Vivaldi I made some changes to the adress bar, but my efforts to find a way to reduce the distance between bookmarks from the menu, failed and I found that such tweaks are not possible in Vivaldi too.

After that i decided to stay with Firefox as long as they support it and after that I would step over to Vivaldi.

Unless there is some other trick to make folders on the bookmark bar of Google chrome yellow (or any other color), with CSS it seems that it can't be done because there would not be any trick to activate CSS. I did not find any possibilty to do that.

I'm not saying that there *is* anything there, just verifying that you've checked - I've found quite a few things that I've enabled there over the years for other facets of Chrome that I'd like to manually control...

No I did not, but had a quick look on them now. It's quit a lot of experimental things there, but I did some searches and did not find anything usable until now. And because I already decided not to use Chrome at all (other disadvantages count, don't want to explain why), I will not go any further with testing Chrome.

Besides that, this is a Firefox thread and I don't want to bend it offtopic too much. If @steveg wants to know more about tweaking Firefox or other browsers, he could start an own thread about what he wants to archieve! ;-)
