Solved Latest Macrium Reflect 8 updates

The free version is on a separate update stream now and the latest update 8.0.7279 has not been pulled.

No, Free v8.0.7279 has no known issues and has not been pulled. Now that Free has reached end of life it will remain on v8.0 and get it's own separate set of updates. Macrium are to support Reflect Free with security patches until 1st January 2024. See post #1 for more details.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

You're right. There is no conclusion on it yet.

I'll say this about CBT issues.
When I was beta testing, CBT issues rarely affected all computers.
I used to get issues on one computer, but not on others.
I vaguely remember Macrium support explaining to me why, but I can't remember now.

Edit: And this is the reason why I think you see CBT issues appearing consistently in Reflect changelogs ever since its inception.
I'm sure the developers would have a much simpler life if it didn't exist.

I would be surprised if CBT is not the culprit, It must have its tentacles well embedded in the OS.

Using latest 8.1. MR set for daily Incremental backups and to keep 3 last ones. Today i noticed it took much longer (usually 15 to 30 seconds), Checked backup folder and backup was much larger than usually.
This was it rerd today, yellow yesterday, top one full original.

Strange. A couple of thoughts
1. a disk defrag.
2. A failing disk.
I've seen both causing larger incrementals but maybe not that big.
