I believe it does more, because when a setting is locked by a policy, it can not be enabled/disabled at will.

Same here, most likely caused by other settings, but sometimes when it is disabled, it shows as enabled, like:

Consider finding another browser without all the useless "feature" bloat that entraps users with confusing settings. Only die-hard MS geeks or users who don't care browse with Edge. :cool:

It would seem to me a good idea, like Firefox behaviour. But it also seems to me that being too lazy to open a blank tab before closing the last one has its disadvantages.
I mean, seriously, people are going to open a new tab anyway. But people want a new tab opened for them. Please.

Why this damn process is always in the background (Edge is closed!)? It happens after recent updates. I have disabled all Edge services (background services). I also have disabled CoPilot (in GPEdit) and the sidebar in Edge settings. What is Bing doing there?
