Yes it should be all resolved with Malwarebytes & Acronis, Believe was fixed with 5.1.9.124 update a while back

Which is in the general release channel, that @Porthos linked to above in my quotation.

So, for all intents and purposes, this is both a Beta and not a Beta release.

Interestingly enough, though, the Beta channel post makes 0 mention of any known issues....

My suspicion is that either the Beta channel listing is incorrect, or, more likely, there was something really important in this build that they wanted all users, Beta enabled and disabled alike, to get it immediately.

I suppose we will know more in the coming weeks.

So, I saw mention of the Advanced script and fileless protection - is that why this build was pushed out to users regardless of if they have the Beta setting enabled or disabled?

No, the update was pushed out as an official release. The bouncing/reverting "beta" issue that was mentioned I have never investigated any further on my own to replicate it.

I stick with the non-betas so any screenshots match the version most users have.

Even pre-hurricane, release notes were running late. Many times with a quick component package, no notes are released as they were minor little changes..

  • Monitoring for unsecured Wi-Fi connections may trigger the Windows Location Access prompt to appear (example: Malwarebytes version 5.2.1.144 needs permission to use signals like GPS or Wi-Fi, which can be used to determine your precise location). Note: Malwarebytes does not access your device’s location. This notification is triggered because Malwarebytes uses Windows provided methods for the purpose of determining whether your Wi-Fi connection is to a secure - or insecure - access point. Fix currently targeted for November 14, 2024, release.

I had to disable Beta updates and then re-enable it to get this version, but I finally got it.
