Posting. I do think something is worth posting to pass info onto others having the same problem.

Malwarebytes is now telling me not to use Opera browser as its 'compromised'. Personally I think its a false positive and have posted it in allowed as safe. I have also informed MWB but await a reply. Even though its in 'allowed' the pop up is still appearing.

The official place to report False positives is on the Malwarebytes forum.
It is where support will probably refer you when you get an answer.

Can concur. I had issues using the MB Beta a couple weeks ago and they directed me from here to the MB Support Forum and fixed me up tout-suite.

As that particular identification field is only best used internally within the in-house Malwarebytes teams, it's likely best if it's not routinely used in a public setting for the sake of clarity. I know - looking for Easter eggs is fun though. In public, Malwarebytes staffers would seem to prefer using the fine-grained "component package" definition e.g. CU 1.0.1689, and not ordinarily the build number.

However, you've made a keen observation in that the much larger off-line installer is always republished with each release of MB4. Yet the so-called, and much smaller, stub installer may not require a mandatory update. Such was the case yesterday.
