FWIW, I've been on the Beta for some months and 125beta gave me no issues, just checked and now on 126 beta 1

I tried the updater but it did nothing so I downloaded it, then it updated during the install. :thumbsup:

Somebody (I apologize for forgetting who that was) said here (11F) that it's always a day or two after the public release is posted on the repository site, before the internal updater gets it. Sites like Major Geeks get their updated releases directly from the repository.

That may have been me, I did say that after an update to Firefox, a day or two later a T-Bird update will pop up.

Okay, I tried it, and as far as I'm concerned, they screwed up. The so-called Cards View was one of the bragging points about the new SuperNova versions, and now they've ruined it with a completely blank (except for a star), wasted line that makes the Cards View useless, SFAIC. Version 115 first, then 125:

To experiment I made a portable version of 115 and then replaced the app with the new extracted 125 program. Then I took the profile from a previously installed 125b5 and used that in the portable version. Everything is perfect so I will now install the new version. BTW, in the 126b1 they made a number of changes. The one I did not like is that they took away the word "delete" from the message right click context menu and now you have to use a small delete icon at the top of the context menu.

I disliked 125 Cards View enough that I downloaded a fresh copy of 115.10.1 and overwrote the Thunderbird folder's files. Then, of course, when I restarted TBird, I got a pop-up that said this older version couldn't run with the new profile 125 had made in Users ... Thunderbird\Profiles. Fortunately, I back up my Profiles folder every night before shutdown (with MR), so all I had to do was close TBird, delete the profile version 125 had made, mount my backup from last night, and copy the profile version into the current Profiles folder. Quick, easy, and painless.

Then I went to Bugzilla and complained, but my hopes are not high for getting any action.

Having the sender,date, and time on one line and the subject on another lets me use fairly small mail windows (my preference) and still get the complete subject in the display.

Actually, I don't use the full-screen display for anything except movies.

Probably tomorrow. The delay between posting it on the FTP and delivering it through the updater is often a day or so. I always just get mine from the FTP, but there's no real advantage to that.
