Mail Sync Problems with new Outlook and Gmail

When I use the new Outlook app with Gmail, some of the already read emails frequently (like everyday) become unread. This problem is only with Gmail account. Other mail accounts (e.g., outlook.com and yahoo) don't have this problem. I reverted back to the old Outlook and had no problem. I then use Windows Mail and have no problem either.

Anyone else has this problem as well?

The setting is exactly like what you showed. The problem only applies to Gmail accounts. Other email accounts are fine.

Have you inspected your settings at Gmail? But I understand you, it only happens in the new Outlook.

I don’t use Gmail, ever. Sorry. I just thought it might be worth a look.
