Solved Making Network Computers Visible In File Explorer

its just an ahk compiled into an exe, same as the first .exe i attached here. just use the first one (only difference was that the second one left the command window opened). create a shortcut to the other .exe that you were able to test and place it inside "Shell:Startup" folder, then test your reboot

I am not sure what is going on but here is what I did. I converted my original bat file to an exe file. I tried multiple time to run it and Malwarebytes quarantined it. No matter how many time I restored it, Malwarebytes would not allow it to run. I assume the same thing would happen to your exe file if it ever got past Defender.

you can't just change a .bat extension to .exe.. you have to compile it, which autohotkey can do for you. just take your original .bat and place it in "Shell:startup" folder. disable the scheduled task so it doesnt try running it twice. then reboot and see if placing it in the shell:startup folder makes it run at logon

Well I tried to put it into the "Shell:Startup" folder and I cannot. It seems that even the first exe file will not run without Windows Defender blocking it. I tried running it manually, it got blocked. I told it to run anyhow, it ran. I then tried to place it in the Shell:Startup folder and it got quarantined again. By ehe way, in both Defender and Malwarebytes, it says the threat is severe and calls it a Trojan in Malwarebytes.

Actually I just tried that and what I ended up doing was creating a shortcut to that bat file and it appears to work. It is about 20 or 30 seconds after I am logged on but that is fine. Thanks for your help, it helped a lot.
