MY Taskbar seems to be working.
Just rebooted too. No infinite restarts.

Actually, my Taskbar seems to be working... better.
I used to see a few second delay opening games from a Taskbar shortcut. No more... they now open instantly.

I also have WMP completely removed. It's been removed since Oct. 2021.

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
....KB5039302 is breaking the taskbar on specific Windows 11 editions, namely Windows N.

For those unfamiliar, Windows N is a special version of the operating system with a bunch of media features removed, such as the Windows Media Player app. Microsoft also said that the bug affects customers with regular editions who turned off media features....

Well, I turned off Media Features and still have a fully interactive Taskbar....

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro.

    My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro RTM and Insider Dev, Beta, and RP 24H2 as native boot vhdx.

No problems on 2 Desktops and 2 Notebooks, 1 each with Pro and 1 each with Home. Also have and frequently use Windows Media Player Legacy and occasionally Media Player.

Running 23H2 22631.3737 here and the update broke my taskbar and also deleted my desktop background.
Macrium Reflect came to the rescue.

I recently updated to build 22631.3810, the taskbar wasn't affected. I run Open Shell and Explorer Patcher, if that makes any difference. I also have enabled .NET 2/3 for compatibility with old games and applications. You may consider updating to 3810 just in case.
