As I Have Been saying ALL Along Microsoft Says One thing they change remove Hows to Fix it They Change it again Microsoft Can't have it Both Way's they Brake someone Upgrade download etc ....tells us there a fix removes the fix then does it again and again People are speaking up and fighting back .

When did Microsoft said that would work indefensibly?!

There wouldn't be an unsupported CPU list in the first place - if this install method was an official way to bypass that restriction (which with older builds - was not that serious). That being said - this change was to be expected and voiced out quite often (one update - that workaround won't work anymore). Removing it now - with build 2H42 is just common sense (which cuts support for quite a lot of CPUs). Otherwise, and taking into account the millions of Windows 11 users - couple of thousands could be enough - to clog the support line pointing out to that link.

TLDR;
Random YouTuber says I read this scary Neowin article. Some of you ElevenForum readers know what I "think" about Neowin's writers...

If you read the source article, all it says is there's something going on with the MS Support pages. Sometimes they put up a sympathetic article that hints (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) at a Windows install or upgrade bypass that everyone knows about. Then someone in Windows notices, and they remove or update the offending article.

MS is a giant corporation. Left hand doesn't talk to right hand. Official MS policy isn't created by the Support org cranking out help articles. Just because MS retracts some obscure article buried in their support pages doesn't imply MS has broken any of the known bypasses.

As @hsehestedt replied, "In other words, absolutely nothing has changed at this point." Unless you like uneducated rumors. But hey keep trusting Neowin for intelligent analysis...

there are no 'official' ways to bypass Microsoft restrictions only 'unofficial' bypasses that Microsoft allow.
if Microsoft wanted to stop the 'unofficial' bypasses they could do so instantly.

that doesn’t mean other 'unofficial' bypasses cant be found but none of the bypasses are official.
Rufus 4.6 USB bootable drive creator is your friend in this regard.

I'm not sure that I entirely agree with this. Yes, Microsoft is strongly suggesting against this, but remember that it was Microsoft themselves that published the HKLM\offline\Setup\LabConfig registry settings to bypass the requirements.

Also, with a quick search on the Internet, I see that actual Microsoft support personnel are still providing that same information although they always include the disclaimer that effectively says that they really don't like it

If MS sanction bypassing and something goes wrong, then they could be sued.
