@swerd, I tried repairing and running Edge with KTS offloaded, and it didn't help. I hardly believe it's the AV issue....

Same problem...I think.
Control panel tells me that Edge is installed...ver : 105.0.1343.25 ...as in #10
Tried all the 'usual suspects'....rebooting, sfc /scannow etc....
Thought of uninstalling....but can only find 'repair'....which does nothing!

Given how many people who have seen this thread that have this problem, the issue must be very widespread. I guess all we can do is wait for a fix from MS.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the WebView2 Runtime. In my case I have several instances of it open. While I'm not sure, I believe normally there used to be only 1-2 of them.

I wonder if it's an add-on/exension causing problems (which obviously can't be got at to uninstall) ....???

I don't think so, I have no extension installed whatsoever, as I use Edge for work apps.

I only had one extension installed - uBlock Origin. I doubt it's an extension thing.

I had this issue a couple months ago, it is infuriating. it turned out the damned taskbar had a hand in this. I wish I could remember the link, but I can say it re-installing just creates more work and didn't fix anything. it was simple too. You have to go into taskbar settings and do something. The answer is here, I just can't remember which SORRY. I sympathize!
