Maybe quite the opposite, I used to type some gibberish thinking, that spellcheck will fix it for me.
Now I have to be more careful. Not to mention that MS spellcheck is bad compared to google one.

I did as well, for the longest of time. But apparently somewhere along the line, with an Edge update, if was automatically switched for me.

I was unaware, until reading the article.

If you haven't already, you might consider checking that it hasn't happened to you as well. ;)

I don't allow Edge to handle passwords. I use a dedicated secure Password Manager. Because of that I don't believe I have a security problem using Microsoft Editor. Microsoft Editor catches enough of my spelling and grammatical errors that I really don't want to be without it. :wink:

So, looking at the new Edge Sidebar, I see that the search function is hardwired to <shudder> Bing. Is there any setting to changes this, besides just turning off the Sidebar?

I too shared the group hatred for Bing until I changed to it a year ago.

I ran Google and Bing side by side for a while and came to the same conclusion. The deciding factor for me was Google ads.

You can finally disable the duplicated Bing search in the context menu.

Since the latest Edge, Windows cumulative & Net updates I have noticed that using the share button in Edge to , for example, share a website link with someone via email brings up the share dialogue box where you can choose how to share the link but the box is blank, no options at all. Anyone else seeing this?

Yep was fixed with the very next Edge update, just a temporary glitch then. :-)
