My son was working for a company that inspected used cars and did the printouts of the stickers you see in the window and took the photos of the cars you see online. He hated doing the cars with the touch screens. He said some of them were so complicated that he had to use google to find out how to get to the screens he needed.

But there are settings in Control Panel that do not exist in Settings. Keyboard repeat delay is one such.

True, but I know we will get there. Nothing I need is in the old control panel. They are working on bringing that stuff over. I am hoping by windows 12 the madness with the control panel will be finished. I can hope at least.

The only madness is MS obsession with killing off the control panel. They've been working on it since Windows 8, what a joke. Maybe they should put a little effort into modernizing the control panel, it couldn't be that difficult.

Whenever the Control Panel is removed, I'm sure someone will provide a reg tweak to enable access for those (me) that want it. There's already a reg tweak now to access the Control Panel from the context menu. It even includes God Mode access:

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.
