The best test would be a clean install, full update, run -Appx{ackage options, check size of drive. Then do the same with Revo. Will positively show the amount of drive space recovered (which, in terms of efficiency, would be comparatively negligible. But for a Windows 4n4l-retentive like me, that's a sense of achievement

Well, that's assuming and not doing a actual comparison which would be more valid as what matters is the end result, regardless if it's Microsoft or not. No different than Microsoft did not have a defragger either. They bought the one from Norton or Central Point PC Tools back in the days of MS-DOS 4.0 or 5.0. Besides, all of these are similar to Quarterdeck's Cleansweep which basically was a uninstaller that logged the installation so it knows how to uninstall something.

"Windows XP Power Toys" was good, but I believe the bought that from the original author.

One of the best programs I ever saw was the old... "jv16Power Tools v1.3.0.195"
After version 1.3.0.195, it went downhill fast.
And that version worked fine on XP, and partially on Win 7. Not at all on any Windows after that.

It was like Programs & Features and a killer registry cleaner, a Startup Manager and REVO, all rolled into one.

Not sure about Windows XP Power Toys but originally Power Toys or something else was something you had to buy in addition to Windows 95 which was also retail boxed and was not free. Always wondered what happened to jv16 which for a registry cleaner, you basically chose the items you wanted. I liked the Norton Utilities better because you don't get to choose anything and it cleans everything that matches the programs criteria. Never had a issue with it for the last 30 years. Think Quarterdeck Cleansweep was the one that started the uninstaller as it basically logged installations.

Nevermind, I was thinking about Microsoft Plus! Companion.

I have always been suspicious of this app, it seems like it comes from microsoft but it also has ties to china and some weird translation errors and other odd behaviors.

I would stay far away from it.

Like I said, it's not from Microsoft Redmond USA but from a division of Microsoft and just because it's China does not mean it's bad and it's a official Microsoft product. As far as Discord is concerned:

Microsoft did try to buy Discord for $10Billion many years ago.

Far superior 3rd party freeware options - DaumPotplayer and/or VLC Player

In both cases, there's no need for codecs, which there is frequently with the Microsoft options

Never back for once Revo has plied its skills. I suspect games apps will come back because other removal methods are superficial leaving traces behind that subsequent updates can get a sniff off, think they're incomplete/corrupted programs and effectively do a repair ... which re-instates the app.

So the Snipping Tool, Calendar, OWA (Outlook Web Mail), Sticky Notes, Paint, Photos, and any of the apps that I currently use (although not from the Microsoft Store) will remain unaffected?

I wouldn't say that. I used REVO Uninstaller Pro to see if I can fix my mouse which freezes every few minutes problem whether using USB receiver or Bluetooth as the problem is gone as soon as I kill the Control Panel process for the mouse's software. And I have tried an exact same mouse from Amazon with the same results. When I uninstalled the REVO Uninstaller logged installation, it uninstalled fine but then it had a advanced part that basically were the drivers for the mouse. Windows would be stuck with the spinning circle at the boot screen with the mouse plugged in. Windows did a automatic repair which allowed the machine to boot and only without the mouse's USB Receiver plugged in, otherwise it would be stuck with the spinning circle. From the login to after logging in, if I plug the USB received, Windows will freeze solid. Windows Installer (msiexec.exe) would also not complete installations if it's a .msi file as it will get to about 75% and just sit there for hours. Intel Serial I/O devices are all missing in Device Manager. When I try to use the Intel Serial I/O installer, it would try to install and then reverse and say fatal error. So I think the only way to fix this is with a in-place repair install. Probably the Advanced part was the culprit which is basically the user manually removing the things from the list presented.
