Best thing coming from this is the Retouch Feature has been added.
Apology, but I think it's for kids! You can't call it a retouch feature. I think they want to add more AI (retouch) features to the Photos app and make it commercial (not free).
The only reason I had not uninstalled Legacy Photos. Face recognition never worked like it's supposed to anyway.
I suggest you install the new version (not the Legacy version, it's absolute garbage)!
Face Recognition ->
Google Picasa (Free, Portable, About 150 MB).
Google has a long lead in this matter. I mean nosy in identifying people in detail.
It is terribly limited and painfully infantile as a viewer, editor or manager!
I use it just as a (photo) viewer and sometimes as an editor (just for resizing and cropping, not retouching!). It's good at its job as a photo viewer, resizer, and cropper.
Best photo retouch app -> Lightroom (in my opinion -> Photoshop
)
Best photo manager app -> Picasa
In-App purchases??? No!!!
They mean:
By clicking on it (Edit photos like a pro), Store offers some non-MS photo editor (Luminar AI
, ACDSee
, Corel PaintShop
). But soon you will see Microsoft AI-Powered (
) photo editor there (sure! you have to pay for it).
IMHO:
1. ClipChamp = An absolute clown
2. AI = worse than Covid.
C'mon MS, give your head a shake! There's way better stuff out there for free!
Microsoft doesn't have enough time to do that. Instead, I'll do it:
