I realize this... at present , they aren't talking about home users.
However, pretty much all the changes they made for corporations, have slowly been forced on home users as well.
To be fair, most of these changes for security measures that are necessary for corporations are often times advantageous for a home user to use as well.
But all too often, these measures are met with a response that it's going to be bad, shouldn't be done and people should be left to make up their own security and that Microsoft is just evil and inept at doing anything right. When presented with alternatives like Mac, (we get Apple is even worse and terrible and crazy expensive and not worth it at all) or Linux (it's garbage, it doesn't work, you gotta do everything at the terminal, none of the apps that I use are supported)....it makes me wonder if Microsoft is really that bad.

Nah, sometimes you have to make choices to force a change to keep egg of your face. Microsoft removed the standard practice of making everybody an admin without things like UAC because their security track record in 95/98/ME/XP wasn't exactly outstanding.
Based on everything i have read about the ZTDNS stuff, you have nothing to be concerned with at a home user level.
