Try this tutorial...

It has two pics. One with BING on the START menu and one without.
So I guess it's the right tutorial?

Yeah thanks but it didn't work. I think MS is messing around with settings or something. The tiny graphic in the searchbox is also gone (and comes sometimes) Very weird stuff.

@RingTailCoon 11 You get something much, much better at bing.com

-----------------------:copilot:
Microsoft has recently revamped Bing, their search engine, with some exciting new features. At a press event in Redmond, Washington, they announced the integration of OpenAI’s GPT-4 model into Bing, providing a ChatGPT-like conversational experience within the search engine. This means you can now have more natural and interactive interactions with Bing while searching for information1.
Here are the key points about the new Bing experience:
  1. ChatGPT Integration: Bing now features a chat-like interface where you can start a conversation in the toolbar. It’s like having a helpful AI companion right there in your search engine.
  2. Up-to-Date Information: Unlike OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which was trained on data up to 2021, Bing’s version is more current and can handle queries related to recent events. So, if you’re looking for information from today, Bing’s got you covered1.
  3. AI Principles: Microsoft is committed to using technology that enhances human productivity and aligns with human values. They want to be clear-eyed about any unintended consequences and ensure responsible AI usage1.
  4. Search Enhancements: Bing will show GPT-based results in a box on the right side of the search results page. These will pop up when you search for facts that Bing knows the answer to. Additionally, Bing will occasionally prompt you with its own questions and suggest potential answers1.
So, next time you search, you’ll have a more conversational and up-to-date experience with Bing! 🌐🔍

I am assuming you are referring to co-pilot. I did have a copilot icon in my taskbar until I disabled co-pilot in group policy. It can also be done in the registry.

I do use copilot in Edge. My Edge updated today. Co-pilot does still show in Edge toolbar as in the screenshot and the Co-pilot side bar opens when I hover over it, but you can stop the Edge sidebar from automatically opening if you wish.

Copilot is much, much, much, much more than just a search engine. It can also help you with various tasks and activities, such as:
  1. Writing, rewriting, improving, or optimizing your content, such as poems, stories, code, essays, songs, etc.
  2. Answering questions about various topics, such as science, history, geography, sports, etc.
  3. Engaging in conversation with you about your interests, hobbies, preferences, etc.
  4. Providing information and tips about Windows features, such as how to change the theme, set the volume, launch an app, etc.
  5. Creating graphic art based on your text description, such as a dragon, a flower, a logo, etc.
And much, much, much, much more! You can ask me anything you want, and I’ll try my best to assist you. 😊

----------------------------------
As an example for item 4, Copilot can answer support questions such as 'Where did Bing go?' which I used in my previous post LOL but in all seriousness, Copilot can answer the vast majority of support questions posted on this forum (y)
  • Providing information and tips about Windows features, such as how to change the theme, set the volume, launch an app, etc.
----------------------------------
Item 5 is the most fun LOL (y)
  • Creating graphic art based on your text description, such as a dragon, a flower, a logo, etc.
