Hi. I plugged this pc and formatted disk in uefi.
13900K stock
2x16 GB DDR5 GSKILL 6800
Rtx 4090 Gigabyte Gaming
Aorus Elite Z790 AX
SSD KINGSTON 2TB
Seasonic 1300W PX ATX 3.0 PCIE 5.
So during installation windows 11, when pc rebooted first time,pc loosed signal and nothing happened on screen. Then i pressed reset button and it was fine and no issues again. But why that happened? Should i worry?
I wouldn't if it happened only one time. If it happens again, then worry. If you let Windows install your graphics card driver at boot, I would definitely install the latest driver from the manufacturer. Graphics Card | Service / Support - GIGABYTE Global
is what I think she meant to say there. And she's right - the OS was probably installing the graphics driver, and when it updated from a generic one that it used for installation, the GPU probably forced closed all connections to update the driver, and it went into sleep mode and could not come out.
For future reference, if this behavior happens again, try the following:
1. Power off the monitor (better to power cycle it by actually unplugging it, but a simple power switch toggle to off and then on again may work).
2. Try this handy little shortcut that may work if Windows is already running:
My problem with the AW2723DF is that the picture randomly goes off and the screen turns black, then after 1 or 2 seconds, the picture comes back. It happens only in desktop when i am have launched Steam application with some ads and some browser on. When i close steam it doesnt happen. So i have that flickering when i have steam ON on desktop.
I tried to resolve problem, and when i turn off GSYNC it doesnt happen even with steam on. So gsync is the cause. Any solution to work properly with gsync?
I have a G-Sync compatible monitor, and if G-Sync is enabled my monitor will go black for about a second if I open a store page in STEAM and scroll the video out of view. It will then go black again if I scroll it into view. The video plays fine and otherwise Steam itself works normally, but if the video enters or exits the visible area of the screen the display loses sync for a short while 1 second. It doesn't do it if G-Sync is off. No other application on my system causes this.
I have several Eve Spectrums, and they used to do this, but newer firmware have limited this behavior.
What video player are you using, because it sounds like the monitor is either trying to force a refresh rate and is getting over-ridden when the video player comes in, or else the nVidia settings are not set correctly.
Steps you can try:
Check the nVidia Control Panel settings for your monitor - make sure it is using correct settings for resolution, color depth, etc.
Check for any updated firmware / drivers for Windows 11 for the monitor
Check Windows settings for background graphics usage (Settings --> System --> Display --> Graphics) And then see if your video player is listed under Custom options for apps.
If it is, change the setting to high performance.
If it is not, click the Browse button above the list to find your video player app and add it to the list to be monitored, and then try various options (High Performance will probably be the best to try first, as if that doesn't work, none of the other options should work either).
Also check the Advanced display options to make sure you're using the correct refresh rate (Settings --> System --> Display --> Advanced display) for your monitor.
