Hi, the pointer on my Win 11 (22H2) PC shows a weird behavior. It stops at the left side edge and the top. When I move to the right or to the bottom it kind of "falls" off the screen and disappears. I have tried to update the video and display drivers but windows tells me I have the best drivers available. Can someone help?

Now you bring this up, I find that my pointer does exactly the same thing. I don't worry about it.

I don't worry either, I just want to know what causes it.

There's no direct answer for your question as nothing in particular causes it. It's the way windows is designed at the moment. We're all in the same boat.

I found a sorta answer. Quote:The mouse cursor disappears on the bottom and right sides of your Windows screen because this is the default behavior in the operating system. The cursor is hidden on the edges of the screen to prevent the cursor from accidentally moving to another monitor or workspace, especially if you have multiple monitors set up. However, you can change this behavior by adjusting the cursor settings in the control panel. To do this, go to the control panel and search for "mouse settings." In the "pointer options" tab, you can adjust the "pointer speed" and "hide pointer while typing" settings. Additionally, some third-party software, such as screen recording or remote access software, may also affect the cursor's visibility.

OK, if this is current windows behavior then I consider the case closed.
Thanks a lot!

The arrow tip is the selection point. The actual icon of course disappears at the bottom and right hand side.
If it did not then you would not be able to select things close to those edges.

You can change the mouse pointer to a cross the selection point being centre and symmetrical in both planes thus the same on any side.

Mouse properties > Pointers...Browse.

No different in any version of Windows going back decades.

Ok, there were enough clues in this thread to solve my problem. It isn't that the mouse cursor stops at the right-hand edge of the screen, it goes beyond that because my computer believes it has a second monitor in "extension" mode. So I'm frantically moving my mouse around and cursing the fact that it's not visible, when all I needed to do was move it back to the left!

I've previously tried changing the mouse settings when I should have been going to System > Display and changing the Multiple displays option to Duplicate these displays instead of Extend these displays.

Hope this helps others who find this thread.
