Thanks. I also think you're running the free version and not Microsoft 365 Outlook.BruceR - No. None of the usual ways of accessing the Rules setup can be found. Tried all the ways I knew and the links given above which generally were much the same as the ones I knew.
Helmut - I agree this seems like a Beta version but I don't recall getting a choice when I installed it.
TraderGarry asked me to look for Outlook.exe on my PC and I found a copy of that .I was loath to open it at the time in case it created more issues but decided to be brave today. When I opened it it asked me to open my account which I did. I now have a working copy of Outlook as I knew it before all this started. I have pinned this version to my Task Bar and unpinned the "new" one and will stick with that.If you are clicking on the .exe file in the Microsoft Office\root folders and it’s asking you to setup an email address then it would mean that it isn’t configured, this may mean you aren’t using Outlook from Microsoft 365. You’re possibly using the app. That’s my opinion. (Although the screenshot would tell me differently)
Now select the tab to switch to the new Outlook and see what happens. My Outlook 365 app (paid and activated)...

Do you not have OUTLOOK.EXE at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16?

Page 3Will it open as Classic Outlook?
If the OP is running Office 365 to include Outlook (and based on the .exe location they are), and "If" it is setup as they say, it would NOT be asking to setup when clicking the exe file in that location. Instead, it would simply open the Outlook app. That's fact.
