Anyone know how i can launch the create new shortcut via command line/run? Need it for a batch I'm making but surprisingly never tried it before and have no notes on it. Of course searching just tells you how to create shortcuts to exes, etc with PowerShell/Command Prompt. Just need to launch the New .lnk Box, pictured in post.

Something in this may be useful. The line to add path to shortcut doesnt make sense as you want to create “any” shortcut not a set shortcut?

so to anyone that knows how to run a string id from a dll.... the shortcut .lnk wizard is a function of explorer and is in

system32\windows.storage.dll
