New Version of ExplorerPatcher

I am using the latest version of ExplorerPatcher with build 22621.2134 of Win 11 pro.
Has anyone noticed that since the update on Tuesday KB5029265 That when I click on any shortcut to Explorer it seems to restart itself, has anyone got a fix or is @valinet or someone on GitHub aware of this?
Everything else is working fine.
Cheers guys
A similar thing happens to me. Every second openning of Explorer crashes it. After it restarts itself, it opens without any problems. However, after closing it, and openning it again, it restarts itself.

Explorer Patcher needs some extra components called symbols. Restart your computer and it will download them automatically. This will fix the crashes. You can also manually check if there is any new Explorer Patcher version and install it.

I just updated to build 22621.2134 and File Explorer was crashing every two seconds. I tried to restart so it could update the symbols, but I could not get to the shutdown box from start menu. It kept crashing. So I pressed CTRL+ALT+DEL and I selected restart from there. It didn't work. I also tried to manually download latest Explorer Patcher version and install it, nothing changed. The only option was to uninstall Explorer Patcher and wait for a new version that will fix the issue. I hope @valinet will fix it soon. Please post here so I am informed about the fix and reinstall Explorer Patcher. Thanks!

PS: If that helps, I have also installed latest OpenShell. I hope this doesn't conflict with Explorer Patcher.

PS2: Please @valinet release a new version of Explorer Patcher that fixes the issue as soon as you can. OK I cannot see my custom network/sound icons with these grouped. I can live with that...for a while. But I hate the light cyan color of tabbed the File Explorer! I use Mica for Everyone to change the default grey color in File Explorer to blue. This in the old Windows 10 version of Explorer was nice. But in the Windows 11 tabbed version is a light cyan color underneath (see photo) and I don't like it. Any trick to change this cyan color? Is there any way to make it the same blue as the border? Alternatively, how can I disable tabs and get the traditional File Explorer? I don't use them for the time being.

Thanks, I already knew that. My question was if I can disable tabs in File Explorer without using Explorer Patcher. Can I have the good old File Explorer of Windows 11 21H2? How? I have temporarily uninstalled Explorer Patcher due to bugs. I wait for a new release to try.

Afraid not. The tweak to permanently use ribbon no longer works in 22H2. I haven' noticed any bugs in ExplorerPatcher (aside from the old Task View and the Volume Change overlay popup no longer working with the Windows 10 taskbar set to enabled in ExplorerPatcher). I use Open-Shell 4.4.190 alongside ExplorerPatcher 22621.1992.56.1 running on Windows 11 version 22H2 build 22621.2134, no problemo. No crashes no explosions inside my laptop... no nothing. Just everything works.

In that case I might try to reinstall Explorer Patcher...

Nope. Just checked. It crashes again, I don't know if it is my settings or a general bug. So I uninstalled it once again and wait for a new version that fixes this bug.

In my system Explorer Patcher causes File Explorer to crash and restart. This happened after installing all updates up to build 22621.2134 No setting seems to fix it. After crashing several times Explorer Patcher offered to uninstall, do I did just that until there is a new version that fixes that bug.

In my system Explorer Patcher causes File Explorer to crash and restart. This happened after installing all updates up to build 22621.2134 No setting seems to fix it. After crashing several times Explorer Patcher offered to uninstall, do I did just that until there is a new version that fixes that bug
This occasionally happens to me, I'm using 22621.2134. It doesn't always happen but seems to be if I open a network folder but I can't duplicate it, just seem purely random.

On my install it happens on any desktop shortcut leading to a folder. This includes Network, This PC and Recycle Bin. Doesn't happen when I 2X click on a shortcut to program/app. If you open a shortcut to a folder, close it, then try to open it again ExplorerPatcher crashes and restarts.

You're right I just tried it on my Desktop folder shortcuts and it does it all the time, I'm was sure it was random but obviously not. Just have to wait for the next version of EP and hope it gets fixed along with volume pop up not popping up when you adjust the volume via the keyboard.

Yeah, but my explorer still hasn't crashed so, try repairing your Windows by doing an in-place upgrade just to be sure. I think using File Explorer with tabs may be the actual culprit or part thereof. So, turn on the Windows 10 ribbon in the File Explorer section of ExplorerPatcher settings... see if it helps. I use Open-Shell with Classic Explorer options for various additional tweaks to File Explorer, and I use both Winaero Tweaker and Ultimate Windows Tweaker for even more additional tweaks to File Explorer. It still never crashes on 22621.2134 so, I'm good. I don't need Task View, and also I don't need the Volume Change overlay/popup. All the rest still seems to be working perfectly fine.

Yeh mine works fine except for the volume overlay and the Explorer crashes, although today it's not crashing. People use different things in EP so some peoples experience will differ from what other people consider to be fine. I've never had a major problem fortunately, I only really use it for the toolbar functionality which out weighs the two problems I've had.

I had the Windows 10 ribbon interface in File Explorer and it kept crashing when I upgraded to 22621.2134 So that doesn't work. I tried som settings, nothing seems to fix it. I uninstalled Explorer Patcher and I wait for a new version.

@flhthemi has nailed it, well it works for me. I am using EP and ClassicShell with the win 10 taskbar. If I open Explorer from the desktop shortcut or the taskbar shortcut all works fine with a win 11 ribbon even though it is set to a win10 ribbon in
EP>File Explorer>Control Interface>Windows 10 Ribbon but if I open explorer from a link on the ClassicShell menu all is still working fine but I do get the Win 10 ribbon. Great for me (y) I hope this helps others, it certainly fixed mine
