Solved Nvidia GeForce Experience no longer loads - anyone else?

This may be because of the big outage yesterday, I don't know, but I can no longer get GeForce Experience to load. It just tells me there was a problem and suggests a reboot - which does not help.

I manually updated to the newest drivers by going to the Nvidia website and downloading. I installed the new GeForce Experience at the same time, but it also will not load. The drivers are working fine, and there were no download issues from the Nvidia site.

I find the timing of this suspicious, given the world wide outage of many sites yesterday, and this started happening right about then.

Anyone else having an issue like this?

So just as an update, GeForce Experience will load on my partner's computer. She has the same graphics driver version as me, and all of the same Windows updates. I am baffled.

I have noticed a couple of weird things happening to my PC lately, such as a RunDLL failure on shutdown. There are at least one or two popups telling me this. I have run Dism, SFC /Scannow and such with no errors found. Scannow did fix a couple of problems, but Dism is clean and healthy. Several passes with MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware come up clean.

It's been a while since I did a repair install. Maybe I should do one?

An In-Place Upgrade (repair install) won't fix driver problems.
It only fixes Windows file corruption problems.

An In-Place Upgrade "compares" what is installed on the computer, with the Windows ISO image.
Then, it overwrites any corrupted Windows files, with clean copies from the ISO image.
This is how it "repairs" Windows while allowing you to keep your programs and personal files.

Personally, I won't even allow Geforce Experience on my computer, but here's the guide for fixing Nvidia driver issues...


DDU Instructions - Nvidia
1. Get this program, here: Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) | Wagnardsoft ...get the latest version, and save it to your desktop.
2. Get the DCH/Game Ready vid card driver here, use the Manual Search: Advanced Driver Search | NVIDIA ...save this to your desktop.
Unhook the internet completely.
3. Reboot into Safe Mode and run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) choose the "Highly Recommend Option", and just do what it tells you.
4. After it's done, reboot to normal mode, then just double click the Nvidia driver to install.

Rehook the internet.

Thanks @Ghot Sorry for the late reply, I have been out of town.

I finally got fed up with troubleshooting and just removed the Experience app. It wasn't really doing much except causing problems and making my games stutter. I am not sure why the app suddenly started to do this as it was independent of the driver updates, but I am not going to worry about it anymore. The stuttering has stopped, and so have the messages on shutdown.

I'll just manage my updates for the GPU manually from now on.
