The error I got in Office was related to Javascript not being enabled, but I've never disabled it anywhere.
I'm not going to logout of Office to recreate the error message, I had to use a recovery image to get my signed-in Office back

Glad you got your Office functionality back with no error exiting the various applications.

The issue isn't solved!
The apps were crashing on closing, I re-installed Office using the offline installer and got back into Beta channel, they were still crashing on exit so I signed out of Office to see if that helped. Apps didn't crash with the non-beta version
It was THEN I couldn't sign back in as I got the Java error in Office. I had to use an image backup where I was still signed in
The apps still crash on closing unless I End task using Task manager
Java is enabled in Edge as it always has been

All the Office apps run as they should, the error occurs when I click the Close window 'X'

Another PC here is having the same problem

Beta = Unstable.
