As this thread is only 'just' over a month old, hope it's ok to continue it - as I have exactly the same oddity, and found this thread helpful in doing some digging.
A screen shot of my explorer 'tree' is attached - showing two personal 'OneDrive' folders in the tree.
The understanding I've got from this thread shows me that these are just two visual image of the same OneDrive 'folder', so that's been a relief.
What I've not been able to ascertain is any way to remove the duplicate - simply because I sometimes get myself in a muddle when I'm doing lots of file stuff, and maybe 20 years ago, I'd be much quicker in picking up what I'm doing, but not anymore
Now this just irks me, as I have my own documents on my C: drive on the PC, an sometimes end up with folders open in both those virtual views of the OneDrive folder, and I've been trying to move stuff, and making invalid assumptions about 'where' I am as I've accidentally opened two separate OneDrive 'views.
All of which I realise is surmountable.
So - anyone else out there with a smart way to delete one of the two 'views'? I've checked the Properties of each 'view' and they're identical (from 2022 when PC arrived, so just want to delete a 'view' somehow
