OneDrive in Explorer not showing recently uploaded files

It's not a bug its people obsessing over a name change. Yes, I looked at the links.

Are you downloading the latest OneDrive from Microsoft, or using an installer you've had lying around for a while? If it is a current installer, then I think we can lay the blame for that minor thing at Microsoft's feet. But if it is an older installer, it could be silently updating to a current version in the background, and once that happens it also changes the folder name.

But, bigger picture, that should still not cause any issues with files showing up when adding them through the website interface. So:

1) Do you have any settings in OneDrive to delay uploads / downloads, or limit the bandwidth used?

2) Are you limiting your network access to your home network in anyway?

3) Is windows setting your home network to 'public' or 'metered'?

Just a theory but I suspect the "OneDrive - Personal" name may be embedded into the online user account (OneDrive.com), and thus why each time the OP changes the name, it reverts back to OneDrive - Personal.

I suspect this is to ensure the sync'd data gets to where is needs to go - that is if the embedded address is "OneDrive - Personal", the PC folder needs to say "OneDrive - Personal", not "OneDrive"

If this is true, I suspect the only way to get the PC folder back to OneDrive, instead of OneDrive - Personal, is to delete the current account, and create a new account - something I DON'T recommend.

In the end I suspect if the OP left the folder name as is, instead of constantly trying to change the name, the sync issues may go away.

Just a thought, and no proof.

He is not changing it manually, but uninstalling and reinstalling OneDrive, at which point it only shows OneDrive as the folder name.
