Hi all,

I've noticed that OneDrive no longer automatically starts with Windows. If I want to do anything in my OneDrive I now have to manually start the app via the Start Menu, otherwise sync just gets stuck pending. I'm fairly sure it was working properly last week.

OneDrive did recently updated itself to version 23.076.0409.0001.

I checked my Startup apps in both Task Manager and Settings > Apps > Startup and OneDrive has disappeared from both.

I had a look in the settings menu for OneDrive itself. It looks different to how I remember it, and there is seemingly no longer any way to toggle the app to start with Windows.

Has anyone else noticed this?

If you uninstall it and reinstall it, that should fix the issue.

Huh, that seems to have worked, thanks! No idea why it suddenly broke like that.

I downloaded an older version from Microsoft's website. It updated itself to the exact same version as before, but it seems to have been put back in my Startup apps.

Thank you for your input everyone! Reinstalling must have readded the registry entry.

I did have a look in the 'new' settings menu but that option is completely absent for some reason. 😕

Yeah, I've noticed it missing OneDrive settings for me as well now. It looks like it may have to be turned on/off in the usual startup settings instead now.

Thanks Brink, you registry fix for onedrive worked for me, all other options just failed. Do you have a similiar fix for google drive, even the toggle button in the program or task manager or settings/apps/startup just resets to off.

Hello Mike, :alien:

Check in your Google Drive settings for a run at startup option to turn off.
