OneDrive not syncing?

I have had a message in OneDrive on my desktop machine for several weeks now saying that there are 20 files remaining to sync, but as far as I can see there aren't and nothing seems to clear this. What is also interesting is that OneDrive on my laptop (same build as desktop) doesn't show this message.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to clear this 'error'?

Most likely connectivity issue.
Does syncing work if you put brand new file into OneDrive?

Yes, adding or deleting files works without issue, and instantly.

The laptop and desktop are using the same network which suggests to me that it can’t really be a connectivity issue.

I think the easiest solution could be to reinstall OneDrive.
Ofc. make a backup of your files.

It's possible uninstallation doesn't remove some files, likely some cache.
I would try signing in to OneDrive on a new Windows account to rule out this possibility.

If you have no storage, you can't sync.

Anyway, it seems you're running the Insider's version of Windows 11? (build 22635.2915) which isn't always stable (thus "Insiders"), so....

Anyway, no issues under my OS version (RTM).

I'd be interested in knowing if the OP looked into the Online account. What's there should be in their OneDrive folder and vice versa.

Beware deleting from your Online account will delete from all connected OneDrive folders - the files will be deleted off the PC.

Yep, and as far as I can see it is identical - which is what I expect as I use OneDrive to transfer files between the desktop and laptop as I access them from OneDrive whilst on the move. I also access them from an iPad and iPhone and to-date all files seem to be everywhere

If i knew what files weren't syncing then I could do something about them. Unfortunately OneDrive does say - just shows the image I should at the start of the thread and I haven't found anything (yet) that is missing or out of sync.
