Apps Open File Explorer UWP app in Windows 11

This tutorial will show you how to open the File Explorer UWP app in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Windows 10 and Windows 11 includes a hidden Universal Windows Platform (UWP) File Explorer app that is optimized for touch and supports light and dark mode theme.

The File Explorer UWP app is only a basic unfinished app, but you can give it a play with if you like.

Here's How:

1 Run (Win+R) the command below.

explorer shell:AppsFolder\c5e2524a-ea46-4f67-841f-6a9465d9d515_cw5n1h2txyewy!App

You can also create a shortcut with this command that you can Pin to Taskbar, Pin to Start, add to Start menu All apps, assign a keyboard shortcut to, or move this shortcut to where you like for easy usage.

Jeez the rendering part of this tool is laggy/buggy on official Windows 11 build. Opens up folders quite quickly though.

What do you mean? I tap on a music file and it opens the default media app and starts playing the music...

It's sluggish. The slide (effect) shows it's a Metro (Windows 8 era) survivor! "Single-click" mouse option and mouse back/forward buttons don't work there.
