Open outlook shortcut maximized doesn't work anymore

I like most of my apps to start maximized. In order to do this I used to make a shortcut (.lnk), adjust the properties and place it in the taskbar- and/or programs-folder. Recently this stopped working; it still opens in a 'normal' window.
Does anyone know how to get it done now?

It's not a good idea to use the run maximized option in properties as certain issues can occur, especially if one hides his taskbar. I find it causes less problems to drag the edges of an application window running in normal mode to whatever size I want. When the application is closed and reopened, Windows remembers whatever size I made it. Try doing it that way.

Does your shortcut work alright before you copy it to the Taskbar?
It would not be the first example of a Taskbar shortcut not respecting its properties.

You're right. From the desktop it works ok. Is there anything I can do to make it work from the taskbar?

Thank you for your advice.
I don't hide the taskbar and have never had a problem because of opening apps maximized.
