A funny story:

I was in Vancouver a few years ago and 54-40 was playing that night. I was in a rental car and every rock oriented radio station was playing nothing but 54-40. It was ridiculous. The radio had no way to hook my phone to it for other music and my only other choices were country (gag) or news radio (also gag).

It got me wondering why anyone would even go to the concert when the band's entire catalog was being played wall to wall on every rock station in town. They could have saved the money they spent on tickets.

Used a few Christmas gift cards to get this 50mm lens. I typically don't shoot with a 50 but of late have found myself in dire need, so....

I have a few zooms, but none go to 50, and a few fixed lenses that don't reach 50 - 24 & 35, 85 mm

New second monitor MSI G274QPX monitor (so I'll have a matching set and can return the two 24" Dell monitors I have at home that belong to work). Now I just need speakers and a headset and my daily driver will be complete (for now) and I can switch focus back to my truenas box that needs 4 more 8tb drives (and another SATA power cable)...and a case that can support 8 drives (thinking my old workstation case might work (fractal R6, need space for qty 6 3.5" spinners and qty 2 2.5" ssd's, I think I can salvage drive cages from other defunct workstations)

Before that was a Little Donkey Andy raincoat, hoping it works as advertised and I can use it for hiking.

And if I can just find a desk I like with open shelves on both sides to stash my gaming system and server box to get one of them off my desktop, I'll be happy...

I have a neighborhood cats pooping in the backyard garden problem (I hate it when they do that).
I've counted 5 cats of various colors in the back yard & 3 in the front driveway (by security cam).
Cat poop stinks big time & scooping it up, packaging & dispose of is a chore i'd like to not have.

So I purchased 1 of these Motion Activated Sprinkler (MAS), a 50 foot (extra) hose & a hose bib Brass Garden Hose Splitter
hoping that MAS will do the job its advertised to do.

*The above is plastic & arrived w/ a broken Diffuser Pin, & instead of returning it I used quick epoxy on it, it seems to be holding.

wow! expensive, a long time ago I traveled Europe, South America, did a lot of flying, skiing etc.. I did a lot of photography.. before digital.. used to have a large camera bag too... with lots of lenses...

we have deer, cougars, eagles, and everything else... here in Oregon... we would need mines, lasers, sharpshooters... lol

Yesterday after I came home from shopping there was a kitten meowing at my front door, but as I approached it took off. Lucky my wife wasn't home at the time cause I may have come home to a cat.

Don't get me wrong my wife and I are both cat and dog lovers, but where we are right now, we don't need pets. That said, I know she would have talked me into keeping that kitten if she'd gotten to it first

The garden/backyard cats that visit during the night mostly poop where the had previously.
1 is a sick one w/ y....w poop that for some reason... ahh never mind

I hope tonight they will move to someone else planter, etc. when they get sprinklered.

Looking for new speakers for "my room". Any of you audiophiles have experience with these ELAC speakers for a small room? They have a kinda low sensitivity of 85db. Plan to get an integrated amplifier with a variety of digital inputs (line, HDMI, optical and maybe USB and coax).

I've never used / heard ELAC speakers I can't speak on them, but I do run Audioengine's HD6 active (powered) speakers. With active speakers you don't need a power amp you can just run them from any audio out. They're also BT capable.

They're normally $699, but Amazon has them going for 549 at the moment. Very good and will fill a room, and especially if you add the S8 Sub

Just providing another option, depending on what you want in a speaker system

No, but, my buddy carries them at his store..., they're supposed to be quite good performers!
I'll give him a dingle later..., or maybe a visit.

I don't know where you're at, but, they're a heck of a lot cheaper than here!!!

Thanks. I have powered Vanatoo speakers now. I am looking to replace them with some passive speakers and an integrated amp.

It is from the ELAC website. Doesn't indicate B-stock. But I probably need to find a place to listen to them I guess.
