When I right click a d to make a new appointment I get the attached pop up referring to Microsoft Forms. I am not running forms and I dont even know what it is. When I click OK the pop up closes and I am presented with the normal way to enter an appointment. I've Googled this forever and found no solution. Has anyone ever seen this or better yet fixed it ? Thanks.

PS - This is a standalone PC at home and I am the administrator.

I’d be looking at your add-ons and also the trust centre to see if it is allowing scripts, but one would assume it is a basic straight from install setting.
Also, I would be meticulously going through the settings in Outlook, every setting to see if there is something related to “Forms” Especially in the Calendar section of settings. But really, I couldn’t tell you what to look for.

Not much help, I know. But nobody has answered you.

Thanks for your reply. I struck out. I haven't ever used Forms. So far this is the only glitch I've come across. This install is less than a week old.

Using the search term above, it appears Forms are enabled by default. But this is generally for an organisation. I am not sure why it would be used with an individual standalone install. Some more reading on how to disable Forms may be helpful?

I did a search to see hoe to disable forms as well as searched throughout Outlook and cant find a thing. This is Office Pro Plus and perhaps it makes the assumption its part of a large organization. Outlook has always been the program people love to hate somehow. Its a annoying problem.

Where did you buy the Outlook 2024 Standalone activation key from?
is it possible you bought a cheap key that could in fact belong to a volume license (organisation).
Where did you download it from?
How did you activate it?

AI Quote.

To install Outlook 2024 as a single user, not for an organization, you can simply download and install the standalone Microsoft Office suite from the Microsoft Store; this allows you to purchase and use Outlook individually without needing to be part of a company or organizational setup.

Key points to remember:
  • Microsoft Store download:
Go to the Microsoft Store on your computer and search for "Microsoft Outlook" to download and install the individual application.

  • Personal account usage:
When setting up Outlook, use your personal email address (like Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) instead of a company email address to ensure a single-user setup.

i bought it from Amazon and it’s legally activated. I asked this question of MS and got nowhere. I don’t think I’ve received a solution from MS.

Following on from what Ants said, in Outlook click the File menu -> Options -> Add-ins. At the bottom of that window click the "Go" button to manage your COM add-ins then take a screenshot of that section and post it here for us to look at.

Add Ins section. Interesting that I can add an appointment in iCloud and while syncing Outlook accepts the appointment without a pop up.

And when I make an appointment on iCloud and it syncs with Outlook there isn't any issue. And when I try to open the appointment in Outlook it wont allow it.
