A while back Microsoft removed the Mail and Calendar app in Windows 11 and pushed for replacement to Outlook for Windows app.
I then noticed that Microsoft installed Mail and Calendar app in Windows 11 again. Confusing if you follow the Microsoft trail. Thus Windows users thinking it is okay to use the Mail and Calendar app again.
Recently Microsoft announced in the news that Mail and Calendar app will stop working on December 31, 2024.
Microsoft explains why the new Outlook is better than the Mail and Calendar app.
This is sending very confusing messages out to novice to non-tech savvy Windows users. First they use the Mail app, get pushed over to New Outlook, and then return to Mail app. Now as of December 31, 2024, the Mail app will stop working and users will be lost without knowing how to convert over to the New Outlook. Thus, end user frustrating about why they cannot get email or why their Mail program has problems now.
I have been dealing with many end users that are just like this and I keep trying to correct Microsoft's on-and-off again App switching decisions.
